Pioneering Days In The Kibbutz

Pioneering groups came to Palestine after World War I in the early twenties. Each group consisted of some twenty boys and girls who lived under incredibly primitive conditions, but were still full of "joie de vivre". They tilled the soil, grew wheat, oat and vegetables, cultivated oranges and olives, kept bees, poultry and livestock.
