The project is part of the new neighbourhood of Beersheba planned for a future population of 25,000.
The central part is designed as a shopping arcade - connecting two octagonal sunken piazzas, on which high-rise apartment houses are planned in the final development stage.
The shopping arcade is lined with four-storey apartment blocks on both sides, and will serve as a linear central pedestrian axis of the new neighbourhood, with laterial roads branching off to the existing built-up areas.
The housing scheme is divided into a carpet development of single cottages, four-to-five storey buildings along the central axis and high-rise buildings on the octagonal piazzas.
